Amazon Rainforest and Tree Plantation Real Estate Projects

The Amazon Rainforest is the most ecologically diverse area in the world.

Rainforest preservation is of paramount importance among all environmental issues and concerns.

Land brokered for Averted Deforestation purposes is a valuable source of carbon credit production. We can help clients acquire and manage real estate for carbon credit acquisition.

Sustainable lumber production as promoted by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a profitable and ecologically responsible way to access Brazilian hardwood lumber. Land is subdivided into twenty-five sections and a portion of each section is cut individually in any given year, allowing many years of recovery for each section of forest. One tree generally costs around $60 US to cut and sells for around $2,000 US. In each section of forest, thirty cubic meters may be cut per hectare. One hectare is a little less than two and a half acres.

Brazilian rainforest property is also an ideal location of an eco-resort or personal vacation home. The lush Amazon rainforest is one of the most beautiful and exciting natural environments in the world.

Brazilian farm and cattle lands are ideal for reforestation projects. Investors can make money and help restore the environment simultaneously. Lands can be converted for planting of Teak, tropical hardwoods, and eucalyptus and yield high profits. For example, the development and purchase cost for one hectare of teak plantation may be as low just a few thousand US dollars, but over several decades could sell for more than one hundred thousand or two hundred thousand US dollars. The Brazilian government is pushing for over five million more hectares of plantation land and offers tax incentives to enter the market. We have extensive experience with reforestation and tree planting, having been involved in the management of such endeavors over the last ten years.
